The County Government of Kakamega is dedicated to provide quality health services for all its residents by delivering accessible, equitable, efficient and effective health services.
To achieve this, the County Government has invested in an ultra-modern teaching and referral facility, improved distribution of medical supplies and up-scaled efforts to construct, renovate and upgrade new level 4 hospitals.
The health sector offers a range of investment opportunities
KCTRH is a flagship project by the County government located in Lurambi Sub-County within Kakamega Municipality.
The ultra-modern 750-bed capacity hospital is being constructed in three phases. Phase 1, which was fully funded by the County Government to the tune of Kshs. 1.9B is complete. Sourcing for an investor to complete Phase II and Phase III, equip and operationalize the facility is on-going.
Once fully operational, the facility will serve as a regional referral medical hub for western region and other neighbouring counties. The facility shall also offer training and research platforms for the upcoming Masinde Muliro University Medical School, other medical training institutions in the Country and create employment to more than five thousand people along the value chain.
